Short version: We collect your name and email when you join the waitlist or try GAIA. We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site. We don't sell your data. Ever.
1. Who we are
Memories is a pre-seed AI travel application. The data controller responsible for your personal data is Alexia Puig Bello, operating under the Memories brand. Contact: info.memoriesapp@gmail.com.
2. What data we collect
We collect the following personal data:
- Waitlist form: name, email address, and country.
- GAIA trial: name, email address, destination, budget preference, travel style, trip duration, and dates.
- Analytics data: pages visited, time on site, device type, browser, and approximate location (via Google Analytics). This data is anonymised and aggregated.
We do not collect payment information, government identifiers, or sensitive personal data.
3. Why we collect it
- Waitlist: to notify you when Memories launches and send you early access information. Legal basis: consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).
- GAIA trial: to generate a sample travel itinerary and understand how users interact with our AI agent. Legal basis: consent and legitimate interest in product development (Article 6(1)(a) and (f) GDPR).
- Analytics: to understand which parts of the website work well and which need improving. Legal basis: legitimate interest and consent for cookies (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
4. Cookies
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies on this website. Specifically:
- Google Analytics (_ga, _gid, _gat): analytics cookies that help us understand visitor behaviour. These are only activated after you accept cookies.

5. Who we share your data with
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share it only with:
- Netlify: our hosting and form submission provider. Your form data is stored on Netlify's servers. Netlify Privacy Policy.
- Google Analytics: anonymised usage data. Google Privacy Policy.
6. How long we keep your data
We keep waitlist and GAIA trial data until you ask us to delete it, or until 12 months after the product launches, whichever comes first. Analytics data is retained for 14 months as per Google Analytics defaults.
7. Your rights under GDPR
If you are based in the EU or UK, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Withdraw your consent at any time
- Object to or restrict our processing of your data
- Lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority (in Spain: AEPD)

8. Data security
We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data. Form submissions are handled by Netlify over encrypted HTTPS connections. We do not store passwords, as we have no user login system at this stage.
9. Children's privacy
Memories is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has submitted data to us, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page and, where changes are significant, notify waitlist members by email.
